Strategic Focus Areas 2025 H2

As we enter the second half of 2025, I want to set out our delivery focus for the period ahead. Our priorities this half centre on improving how change is captured, governed, and actioned across the platform — especially in the context of complex and continuously evolving portfolios.
Portfolios are not static; they are dynamic entities shaped by constant movement, whether through delivery variation, resource shifts, or financial reforecasting. Our goal is to strengthen Fluid’s ability to track this movement, surface meaningful changes, and provide the context needed for informed decision making.

Strategic Focus Areas – 2025 H2
1. Automated Change Request Workflows
We are implementing structured workflows to manage changes across project schedules, costs, resources, and benefits. These workflows will be triggered automatically when defined changes occur — for example, timeline movements, budget realignment, or revised delivery scope — enabling consistent governance without the need for manual intervention.
2.Scenario-Based Triggers and Thresholds
We are introducing configurable thresholds that allow teams to define what constitutes a ‘material’ change. These will initiate the appropriate governance steps, whether a stakeholder review, a resourcing adjustment, or a portfolio-level escalation — ensuring all significant changes are monitored and addressed systematically.
3.Movement-Based and Differential Reporting
Alongside this, we are expanding reporting capabilities to move beyond point-in-time snapshots. New tools will allow teams t
- Track change over time and compare against previous baselines
- Detect trends and shifts across projects and portfolios
- Diagnose the root cause of delivery movement using structured, comparative data views
This enables clearer insight into how and why plans evolve, not just what has changed, which is essential for meaningful portfolio-level decision making.
4. Governance and Version Control
We will also support improved auditability through version-controlled project views. This ensures full traceability of what changed, when, and under whose authority, strengthening compliance and accountability at all levels.
Temporal Insights: Time-based trend analysis across project and portfolio data
Playback & PIT Comparisons: Audit-friendly views of how plans have evolved over time
AI-Powered Analysis: Identification of patterns and anomalies across change requests and delivery data
Version-Controlled Governance: Full traceability of changes, decisions, and accountability
This work supports our long-term objective of simplifying and standardising portfolio management while equipping teams with the tools to respond to change quickly, confidently, and with evidence.
